My work improved readability from post-graduate to middle school reading levels; drove design consistency across products globally; and helped reduce customer support calls by more than 20%.
In 2 years, I built relationships and generated buy-in to grow the UX Content Design team from 1 to 4 full time employees.

Specializing in plain language for sensitive topics, I’ve led teams and driven results through interactive web and mobile content, blogs, podcasts, email marketing, social media, and more.
For the Social Security Administration—an agency with the highest standards for plain language—I led content strategy for an occupational health program for disability beneficiaries.
One of the biggest fears among people who receive disability benefits is attempting to return to work and failing, resulting in the loss of disability income and vital healthcare benefits.
With this in mind, I translated complex government benefits and support services for low income disability beneficiaries — emphasizing the program’s incentives and trial work periods that allow beneficiaries to keep their benefits as they transition to work.
In six months, my easy-to-understand content and visual content marketing strategy resulted in a 46 percent increase in traffic to the program’s disability employment blog.
